I have fond memories of Jolt Cola… it was my go-to when Coke changed it’s formula in the big scam to edit the original by swapping sugar for high fructose corn syrup… new Coke was so bad people were just happy to have something that KIND-OF tasted like old Coke
Garry leaves out the main drudgery of creating a success: long hours figuring out the messes that coders must deal with because those other dorks who built the coding languages and operating systems were always autistics, substance abusers, insomniacs or all three.
Mark, you didn’t have an idea and take the risk to have it built that someone was willing to pay for. Most of the dot-commers put up their little money to make their idea into reality. Many went nowhere. Some didn’t. That’s the risk of all new ideas and entrepreneurs. Heck… some even ignore the market and end up losing it all (see Mike’s business)
Complain about those willing to pay that money for the idea… same as all professional sport figures.
One should note that Jolt Cola has been discontinued for four years now. Many people figured out that it just let you stay up all night making BAD DECISIONS.

It takes a lot of work to con investors into thinking you’ve produced something worthwhile.

I don’t think Jolt Cola existed when Mark was a college student in the 1970s.

Sounds like Mark is a little jealous. Time for the dot. Comer to just walk away from the station.
