A star is any massive self-luminous celestial body of gas that shines by radiation derived from its internal energy sources (a black body). “Ask not what the stars can do for you – ask what you can do for the stars” (JFK almost)
Lucy we are stardust. Every element except for hydrogen and helium that makes up your body such as carbon and oxygen came from a distant star going Nova! And the elements heavier than iron such as gold and silver in your wedding ring came from distant stars going up in a supernova explosion.
Even the very rocks we stand on the Earth didn’t form from the Sun but from another distant star.
Haven’t seen the stars for years and years but this morning I saw a slim crescent moon next to Venus. I even got a nice picture of it. Light pollution is so great the moon they may disappear one day.
If someone in a black suit asks if you ever look at the stars and they are wearing sunglasses, close your eyes because you are probably going to be neuralyzed.
There’s a great song in the original Broadway play of “The Sound of Music” that didn’t make it into the movie and that is most appropriate to today’s Peanuts. Entitled “There’s No Way to Stop It” it goes:“So every star on every whirling planet,And every constellation in the sky,Revolves around the center of the universe,That lovely thing called, I

All those broken wishes.

Lucy, you can make wishes on stars:
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are;
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you.
If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme;
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do.
Of course, this seems to work best if you have a friend who’s a magical cricket.

Fused atomic nuclei into heavy elements so that both your body and the planet that sustains it don’t have to be made of pure hydrogen?
