I’m going to make a pie tomorrow, store bought crust but my own blackberries!

I’ll never forget the odd-idea-ed person I once met who, among other strangenesses, believed it was pronounced “peek’n pie”.

You make pies with pe-cahns. You keep a pe-can under the bed at night.

As a kid, I felt that I would never like a pie, or anything, that is filled with pecans (nor walnuts on a sundae); it wasn’t until my late 30s, I think, that I tried a slice of pecan pie and realized that I had made a mistake (and on my sundaes, I allowed walnuts (and ate them up before digging into the ice cream).

I’d vote for pecan! But I also love chocolate silk and Boston creme.
