Yet, if Wikipedia is correct, scientific consensus is that man evolved along side a group of maniraptoran theropod dinosaurs aka birds – see the article Origin of birds
What was it Jeff Goldblum said in Jurassic Park “Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.”
The matrix doesn’t disprove that the end came & went, thus we’d be in dæmonic delusion. It’s more noticeable where people’s happy little bubbles collide.
I was once taken to task by a pastor who wrote in an editorial that evolution was racist. I did not dispute his scripture, but I did point out that evolution states that we all are descendants of black people from Africa.
The response came in not in the form of counter-fact, but in the form of many Christians inviting me to revivals so they could save my soul.
So the brown haired guy is calling Peter a Good Lord? It must still be the Feudal Period because today Peter would be called Saint Peter with his far out theories. Do you follow me?
Assuming the Big Bang happened, planets close to it would have had to form before ours, and evolution would have had to happen very fast to create a civilization more advanced than ours. I find this to be a very unlikely scenario.

Well, that’s a very similar premise to the Shannara books by Terry Brookes. Reading the original books, there are only occasional hints of it being a post apocalyptic world. It’s not until you read the prequel series that it becomes clear.
There is a theory that Disney’s “Aladdin” is not set in the past but in a post-apocalyptic future. Then it all makes a lot more sense, from the Tupperware to the submarine and Jack Nicholson references.
It’s not so far-fetched. After all, scientists are still trying to create Artificial Intelligence when we’re pretty sure its first action will be to destroy mankind…

I’ve heard some people use this theory to explain the Flintstones as a post-apocalyptic civilization after the Jetsons got blown up.
