Elly should have told her to wash her hands in the kitchen where the paper towels were

Not April’s fault. Somebody should take the responsibility of not putting the towels in place.

What a perfect mother. She makes her daughter wash her dirty hands but neglects to set out a single clean bath towel to dry her hands!

(Maybe they have a hot air blower off camera. Who knows.)

Any other kid would have wiped them on her overalls.

Keep her away from water and the dog.

What’s on her hands? Has she been out in the backyard making Farley-pies?

Have you ever been at someone else’s home and have difficulty finding or figuring out how or what to dry your hands on?

I was waiting to see April use the curtains to dry her hands, but Farley was nearer!

Bought new bath towels and found they need to be laundered first. They shed if you don’t! Mine shed anyway.

Fell off the couch laughing.

Yeah, that’s kid logic for ya.

I know the feeling April, my wife, after all of these years, hasn’t figured out that when you take something, you need to replace it right then. She often does that on laundry day, forgetting to replace the towels in our bathroom when she takes the ones to be washed. Fortunately she has a big fluffy bathrobe that hangs in the closet. It has made a wonderful emergency hand towel for years.

One day when my daughter was very little I caught her drying her hands on a rug.

At least she’s toilet trained ..

Aprils old enough to know to wipe on her pants, the toilet seat cover also would have worked.

Kickoff is at 6:30. Looks like Lawrence will cheer for the 49ers. Will John, Elly and April root for the Chiefs? If Elizabeth is going to teach First Nations children then it would behoove her to learn the Tomahawk chop.

Ellie took her all the way to the bathroom sink and never noticed there was no towel there?

Ohh and meanwhile there was a shower curtain hanging RIGHT THERE and April wandered right past it to the dog instead??

Farley’s nephew could have stopped April. He could have gotten her a towel, then John would say “Thank you, Scrappy Farley!”

What exactly is going on with April’s hands in the first two panels? It looks like a stigmata.

They can’t fault her for using Farley as a towel. Mom was there when she washed her hands but failed to give her a towel.

In two months the kid will have to find a new towel
