The older we get the age disparity lines begin to blur.
There’s a 15-year age difference between my wife and me and even though I joked about robbing the cradle when I married her, no one thought it strange 11 years ago that a 69-year-old man would wed a 54-year-old grandmother with two married sons in their late 30s and 4 grandchildren.
It is definitely “apples and oranges”. At his daughter’s age that’s a difference of more than 10% of her life.
I married a woman 24 years older than I. She was a college girl of 65 when we met and kept on learning. We were together more than ten years, the rest of her life.
I love the relationship between Kim and Alex. Such complicity! How wonderful for Alex that Mike married Kim! And, @alexius23, if Kim & Mike had had children of their own, that would have altered the perfect threesome.

Is Kim saying she was an adolescent with no knowledge about romance when she started dating Mike?

Q: What do you have if you have 10 apples in one hand and 12 oranges in the other hand?
A: Really big hands.

Aren’t you overreacting, Mike? Or is that a requirement for the job of parent?

Wish I could figure out, what’s Mike’s Mojo?
How did he get a smart young lady any how?

A high school freshman is typically 14, so there’s only a year’s difference.

American society has dictated that a father who does not keep his daughter “pure” is a failure.

Angus could be 14 if he’s a high school freshman.

Generations mean nothing unless you want them to – and 2 1\2 years means everything if you don’t have a better argument…

Sounds like she’s probably too mature for him.

I was mildly disappointed that Trudeau never let Kim & Mike have children. There was a daydream episode were they had a son.

The centuries old “Don’t date anyone younger than half your age plus seven” rule is still about right.
