I had forgotten today’s strip. I think it will be tomorrow that we see him telling Hobbes about his nightmare. Another example of Hobbes being shown as part of Calvin’s return to reality.

Yesterday we watched the 2013 documentary Dear Mr. Watterson; not brilliant, but worth a watch. You can find it on Prime.

This looks like Pantex to me. (Nuclear Weapons disassembly and recycling site.) It is in Amarillo, TX.

It would fit if tomorrows comic is just one giant mushroom cloud

And yet another collective groan from the rest of the class.

I remember when kitchen chairs were high, but not that high….

Crazy strip. Calvin went down!

What did they serve in cafeteria for lunch that day?

You know, if you’re just randomly tuning into Calvin and Hobbes with this strip, you’ll have NO idea what’s going on or what the joke is supposed to be.

Honestly surprised Watterson’s editor let him do something so “out there” like this series of strips. They really only work reading them all together as opposed to separately.

I hope he wakes up before he crashes.
