Secret exit discovered! Actually, it looks like he removed a wall panel with a crowbar.

Why are they pointing guns at “Baxter”?

What did “he” do to be considered a threat?

Wasn’t “he” a victim of an assault?

None of this scene makes sense.

If Tracy suspected Baxter: Why has he left an attempted murdered free for days/weeks?

If Tracy didn’t suspect Baxter: Why search for the victim of assault with guns drawn?

If wishes were watches: Would I wear one by my side?

This arc, like many others, has descended into silliness. There seems to come a time in Mike’s storytelling where this generally happens. This particular arc began very strong but look what the story became…

Is this the best that he can come up with? Does anyone really care about what any of these villains do? Where’s the logic? Where’s the danger? Where’s the chase? Where’s the unique villains?….Well, I guess we have some if you like retreads. Where are the NEW ones that don’t rely or aren’t derivative of the CLASSIC ones? Do you think these arcs honor Chester Gould’s legacy? Fat chance.

Cold air from a closet indicates either two things, there’s a passage to the outside, or from my experience, an old elevator shaft. It always pays to watch where you are going.

What once was a closet for clothes

Is now an escape hatch for those

    Who kill and then hide

    To aid Rikki’s free ride

Or back to the pokey she goes.

    DEPARTING FROM CURRENT STORY

    Article BLOOMBERG NEWS—FebruARY 5,2024

Cybercriminals are selling the latest version of “Pig Butchering” kits on the dark web. Pig-Butchering scams originated in China and blew up during the pandemic. Criminals pretend to cultivate a personal relationship with victims through dating apps or social media.

After gaining trust after weeks of virtual conversations, fraudsters manipulate victims into investing in phony cryptocurrency schemes; sometimes robbing people of their life savings.

“Pig Butchering” refers to fattening up victims with flattery before leading them to financial slaughter

PIGGY BUTCHER 1967-1968 is as deceased as any Tracy villain can possibly however nauseating the idea might sound…did he leave any children behind?

1-DT: Be prepared to shoot to kill, Officer. Victims of crimes often have that Stockholm Syndrome thing where they identify with the criminal so much they become one themselves! OFFICER: I don’t think that’s…

2-DT: HANG ON! Something about this has raised my hackles. OFFICER: ??? Mine are hanging right where they’re supposed to be.

3-DT: My senses say that you should go in first

OFFICER: Well, mine say we go in by Rank so DETECTIVES FIRST! DT: Well mine say YOU JUST GOT PROMOTED TO CHIEF! OFFICER: Well, mine say CONGRATULATIONS NEW MAYOR!

B00BS BAXTER: OH FOR PETE’S SAKES! I’M COMING OUT!

cue the dark ambient music with discordant overtones which, although broadly tonal, is inflected with chromatic and polytonal passages representing the archetypal example of a florid, melodramatic style without being interpreted as an overly heavy-handed metaphor within the context of the thematic material a bit on the frenetic and frantic side with interesting rhythmic devices which seem to counterpoint the surrealism of the underlying metaphor utilizing a novel imaging technique known as positron emission tomography and the spontaneous nondenominational conceptions by expansively recontextualizing liminal narratives of colonic hydrotherapy

Decades ago in college I was advised by my English lit professor to write what I actually knew about or do my blooming research. It was good advice.Somehow I think the writer of the story arc here really could use her advice. Lately I’ve seen so many obvious lapses in proper police procedure here it’s gotten to be a mental “What is the writer gonna make me cringe about this week” kind of thing. It’s sad, cause I’ve always really loved DT comics and have followed them since I was very young (and I’m very old)

by the by… is there any word on my fellow Chicagoan, Sisyphos?…

there was an inquiry last week as to his lengthy hiatus and I don’t think there was an answer or a resolution as to his hopefully, brief disappearance…

in other words and to put it bluntly… what gives?…

usually, his posts are one of the last ones of the day and there’s been nada for almost a few weeks now…

any word as to where o where our Sisyphos has gone to?…

come back, Sisyphos, come back, Sisy…
