Hmm, what’s to fix on an ice maker? When ours started acting up there were only two tests to run, both of which ended with – Ice Maker needs to be replaced. Which I did.
There are a couple of ice-maker things that need long arms and-or extra height : changing the water filter [upper right-hand corner and has to be angled in evenly or from slightly above] and unsticking the mechanism when it gets frozen up. The little plastic gizmo is worn so some of the water drips over the side, freezes, and has to be knocked off [gently] so the mechanism will work. [It would be an easy fix, but they don’t make that particular plastic gizmo anymore.]

Isn’t a refrigerator icemaker kind of high-tech (even decadent) to a Plugger?

For some this is true ;-)

If there is any kind of problem that requires being fixed by a professional, a plugger won’t call one until after he’s made that problem much worse.

“Fixing the ice maker” means refilling the plastic ice cube trays and putting them back in the freezer.

Selective hearing. The ice maker on my mother-in-law’s fridge broke. She was told to buy a new fridge.

one of these days I’ll hook ours up. Didn’t want it when we bought the fridge but it came as part of the deal.

I’ve never had an icemaker that operated properly. We buy bags of ice at the store.

Has Pluggers quit GoComics??

Today’s says: A plugger has told his stories so often, even he’s tired of them.
Doggie at coffee bar tells Kitty:“THEN There was the time I… Oh, never mind."

Where is current strip?

A Plugger has told his stories so often, he doesn’t even bother posting them on Go Comics anymore.
