Forgot to do any commentary as I have some: I like that this incident starts.. with a pretty standard scenario: April gets away with something because her parents and grandparent are too busy to notice and Elizabeth dosen’t realize what her goal is. They’ll likely blame themselves again and again for what happened… but it’s an easy mistake…
Many years ago, I was working in my front yard and suddenly realized my 2 year old daughter wasn’t there. After going door to door and finally calling cops, what do I remember most? The a$$hole cop who asked me, what did you do to make her run away.
I bet this is exactly why my mom was always very specific with me about what my sister and I could and could not do when we were outside, especially at my nana’s place which has much more open space.
That’s exactly something my grandson would do, what a character. His Dad dropped him off one day and said he’d be back in a little while. Short time later grandson wanted to know how many minutes in awhile( he was 4) . are the greatest
OMG reminds of my daughter when she was 4. She was told she only can go to the park if someone is with her. She took the kitten!!! She put him on the merry go round and we never saw him again

I have to admit—Elly and John’s self-centeredness and neglect of April is as much to blame for what will happen as the kid is.

Fours adults and one teenager who’s parents considered her to be responsible…why didn’t somebody stop the four-year-old?

“Aypo” and I have the same birthday, April 1. Funny, they didn’t mention it on Monday. (btw, I have a daughter AND daughter-in-law named April).

April’s rather smart for her age to manipulate rhetoric.

Yes, yes you did April. It’s not your fault that the Adults didn’t complete the instructions.

Neither is anyone else.

I don’t like where this arc is going.

And Elizabeth does not wonder about that stick in April’s hand. Readers from last year know exactly what April uses that stick for.

If they change the strip, how do they explain where Farley went?
Especially since they followed up with “Farley’s Tree”.

Mirror, Mirror on the wall… can I go outside? April was way ahead of Grandma.
