It would be trippy to know that your daughter WILL be the first human time traveller (that you know of).

Until now, Phoebe had plot armor.

Not many dads can say they met their kid years before they were born… or say they know a unicorn.

But did he know about it two weeks ago?

Future Marigold told Past Marigold this was going to happen so she would be at that pond when Phoebe was throwing rocks.

You were lucky this time, kid. Remember, time travel is NOT a toy!

BUT I ask if Phoebe’s dad knew what she was doing when she asked for the coordinates originally because she was going back in time to meet him because he knew she would because he didn’t know she would.

Or was it the other way around?.

This totally breaks God and everything that is hardwired to be the ways it is.

I really wonder if we might ever have the ability to time travel in ways such as we could change or influence things.

There was a time when a group of people in the 80s were inviting people from the future to come and visit them.

Because they wanted to test the laws of time by marking an event in the past that they would remember in the future and seeing if it would create a doorway to learning the technology of time travel.

but it never happened!.

I really think Phoebe lives in a parallel earth like this one and it has everything or almost everything we are familiar with and so much more.

When Phoebe’s dad mentioned Star Trek a few strips ago, I think Star Trek could actually exist there and is set in the far future from Phoebe’s current time period.

magic is real there and it does a lot more than God does here.

I bet in Phoebe’s world there’s no war in Ukraine, COVID-19 never happened and all this world’s hate and killing is kept to a minimum if it even exists there at all.

I’m sure with unicorns that their world works a lot better than this one ever did.

And unicorns would in fact make this one work a lot better too.

In Phoebe’s world we have everything we once loved here that’s gone now.

I’m curious to wonder how unicorns there affected stuff like the violent cultures and religions who really hate magic and fantasy and all that.

people in this world would kill unicorns, especially in countries that are so conservative that they kill you if they think you’re just slightly odd from the rest.

In Phoebe’s world unicorns probably exist all over the place.

I now realize this arc explains much better than the Shield of Boringness why Phoebe’s parents seem undisturbed by her relationship with Marigold. They’re cool people who already knew it would happen, and they have been enjoying watching Phoebe’s experience everything.

There are many advantages to having a Nerd Dad.
