I’m reminded of an old F&E in my collection. It’s set in a bookstore and one tells the other, “The price of poetry and logic books went up with no rhyme or reason.”
i took Philosophy my last year of college in a Lutheran school, i had finished all my required courses, and the last week of class, the professor was handing back another homework assignment, got an “A” and finished course with and “A” too, and as he was getting to me he said “Mr. O’Connell, I, and many of your classmates here have a question for you, if you don’t mind…is there anyone, anyone at all, that you do agree with?” with no hesitation i said, “Yes sir…Jesus.”
