Under normal procedure, when a person makes Confession, and before Absolution may be given and a Penance assigned, the penitent must recite a formulaic prayer known as the “Act of Contrition”. (Rules are Rules.) —)
One of many complaints I have about the Catholic religion, get clean on Sunday and do the same things the rest of the week. All fairy tales have their weak points.
To all you theologians out there – if Jesus took all of our sins on himself, and died so that we would be forgiven them … why do we always have to apologise for committing them now? Haven’t they already been forgiven? This might seem a terribly basic question, already covered in Sunday School, but it has always bothered me.

Ah, yes: REPARATION. The part of absolution that EVERYBODY forgets. . .saying, “I’m sorry” just doesn’t quite cut it. . .

The Way is free and simple, but narrow and “few there be that find it.” Mostly because they aren’t looking, and like Naaman want to work for it.

I just read HR 467-if that’s not an act of contrition it will never pass through the senate.

Shouldn’t all the religious organizations have to pay for ‘acts of god’?
