The tangent has been out in the sun too long.

All this talk of gyros is making me hungry.

Everybody knows that.

Tangents are generally a bad thing in animation since they flatten the design and direct your eye like an arrow, and I stressed that students should not use them. They are often appropriate when used in graphic design.
