Man, I can just picture the others poking fun at the chief: “I love money! Don’t do this or that! Listen to me because I know everything even though that’s not true! I’m the boss, therefore I’m superior in every way!”

Those must be some very advanced Tea Cozies if they have a department of engineering. Perhaps Dougan found ways to improve their insulation properties.

It is amazing that this company hasn’t collapsed under the weight of that man’s ego.

I think MOST employers hire people that are smarter themselves to make money. It’s business. Employers have an idea and hire smart people to execute it. IE, Musk does incredible stuff

Wow, there’s a lot to comment on this one! Chief may or may not be the most intelligent person in the building, but we do know he’s the most insecure. And right there explains why Brutus has a job for life. As long as he makes the chief feel good about himself, he can feel confident he’ll continue to get a paycheck from the Veeblefester Company

Rhodes scholar. I wouldn’t want to be associated with his scholarship. Cecil Rhodes made his millions off of the sweat and blood of enslaved black south Africans who worked in his diamond mines. And since that wasn’t enough money, he stole the land the natives called the great Zimbabwe, named it after himself, Rhodesia, and sold off large plots of land to farmers.

Really smart boss, you probably did Dougan a favor.
