I don’t think Judge Juan Merchan hates da Trump. He doesn’t like the antics his lawyers and “witnesses” get up to. Also, it is okay to hate someone after he burns you.

I hate dishonest hyperpartisan cartoonists.

Trump sure has a lot of disgruntled ex-employees, the more the know him the less the like him.

What’s worse are those who love trump no matter what he does, including breaking the law. Like Lindsay Graham, Bok has sold his soul to the devil.

If the judge does not end this now it only proves he’s part of the lawfare crime enterprise.

The delusions are stronger than usual this a.m. in RW troll land.

For the record, I don’t actually HATE Trump. I consider him unfit for office and morally suspect, but not actuall HATE, no. Extreme dislike and disappoinrment, yeah. That goes without saying.

Next cartoon, Samuel Alito and Clarance Thomas hate democracy and love the guy actively trying to destroy it.

Instead of whining from Bok and friends, How about they give us all the reasons not to hate their orange god? That should be interesting.

Just tell Donnie to not do a crime if you can’t do the time.

It seems that many of the people who worked with Trump hate him. What is the common thread here?

Trump poses an exetential threat to democracy with his authoritarian intent. Jacob Heilbrunn writes in the NY Times:

“Ever since he gave an interview to Playboy magazine in 1990 decrying Mikhail Gorbachev for failing to hold the Soviet empire together (”not a firm enough hand") and praising the Chinese Communist leadership for crushing the student uprising at Tiananmen Square (“they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength”), Mr. Trump has extolled authoritarian leaders as possessing the right stuff, while he has dismissed democratic ones as weak and feckless."

What our conservative friends here don’t or won’t realize is that nobody is safe under an authoritarian regime. Everyone, but for a few in power at the very top, have the same leash around their necks. Pull too hard, and you will find yourself being yanked back into line. Furthermore, once your fundamental freedoms have been taken away, they won’t be coming back. A red hat will not protect you.

We barely survived the last Trump term. If two or three people had changed their minds at the wrong moment, Trump would not have left power despite losing the previous election. Democracy can appear weak – look at Trump in court. Under an authoritarian regime, he would have been convicted within days and shipped off to prison. Only because of the democratic freedoms we all share is Trump allowed to show his contempt for the law.

Rant. Rave. Call us names and criticize President Biden with every breath. But don’t surrender your freedoms to the likes of Donald Trump. And remember, it won’t be a liberal Democrat that confiscates your guns. It will be the Authoritarian who doesn’t trust you or anyone outside his family. They will be the ones who come in the night and kick open your door. It’s happened many times before throughout history.

No hope for old Chip.

The word “Reich” is often largely associated with Nazi Germany’s Third Reich, though the references in the video Trump shared appear to be a reference to the formation of the modern pan-German nation, unifying smaller states into a single Reich, or empire, in 1871.

Bok acts like he wants to turn the USA into Nazi Germany.

For what he stands for.. and what he promises to do, his lifestyle.. it’s surprising more folk don’t dislike him. The group that totally surprises me are the evangelists and those alleged to be Christians. Absolute hypocrisy.

The prostitution (sic) has rested its case. What is the crime. What felony was committed. So far, has any crime been proven beyond a reasonable doubt? The state’s closing argument will be a doozy.

@ al fresco: The crimes that are alleged are:

1) That the Dotard falsified business records. That is a misdemeanor in New York.

2) That the Dotard did that in order to finance a scheme to interfere with the 2016 election by keeping the public in the dark about his tryst with Ms. Daniels. The second crime elevates the first to a felony in New York.

A grand jury of citizens, not Mr. Biden or any of his friends, indicted the Dotard. Has he been proven guilty? A jury of citizens, not Mr. Biden, his friends, or the judge will decide that.

And just for something to think about: If a person has to spend $86 million (and counting) to try to stay out of jail, it’s hard to imagine he’s innocent.

The Biden character in the fourth frame looks a lot like the Crypt Keeper.

It’s not unusual for a person to “hate” someone who has tried to harm them… and so I’m wondering why this cartoon doesn’t include Mike Pence.

My son and brother both died from covid after Trump defunded the agency that Obama put in place to handle epidemics, because he dealt with the Ebola threat and realized that it was needed. With that agency in place, the odds are pretty good that we would never have had a covid pandemic. So, I am not at all shy about saying that Trump got my attention sufficiently that I HATE HIM!!!, with every fiber of my soul.

My nightmare is that the jury in the case he is currently facing will accept the idea that “legal expenses” in Trump’s records doesn’t not constitute fraud, and declare him innocent. After all, whatever you are paying a lawyer is “legal expenses”. Once he would be found innocent on this charge, which is the least serious of the charges against him, the general population would only hear the one word, and fail to realize that he is charged with about 90 other things, all of which are so backed with fact that he is undeniably guilty.But, if he is found innocent on this minor offense, he is more likely to be elected president by those who respond with " Well, gosh, he wasn’t lying when he said they were just out to get him!!" And, the really bad charges against him will be dismissed because he demands it. Then he will start a dictatorship which will guarantee that he will do whatever is needed to maintain him in that position, including jailing those who are currently pressing charges against him.

Marchan is a judge. He has no feelings toward trump. He’s just another defendant to Marchan. IMO, if trump hadn’t thrown him over, he’d be just another sycophant. Stormy has an honest reason to hate him… he used her and abused her.

@Al Fresco you have really sunk low to deflect Trump’s responsibility in handling the pandemic. China’s secrecy and slow response to requests would not have changed the pandemic onset and in no way absolves Trump from his inept response to the pandemic’s arrival to our shores. He broke up the Pandemic Response Team in 2018. This team would have been instrumental in coordinating protocol among the various cooperating organizations. Early, effective response would have been critical in slowing the spread. The US’s response was chaotic and powered by Trump’s ego and our high rate of infection and death reflects that. Trump learned nothing from this as he has recently indicated he will AGAIN disband the Pandemic Response Team that had been reconstituted by Biden. Do we want this kind of leadership? I would hope not.

It’s hard to LIKE a guy whose besties with Roy Cohn, Steve Bannon, Steve Miller, Rudy etc….

It wouldn’t matter if they did hate him. The jury will decide his guilt based upon the evidence.
