âThe big parking bureau scandal,â eh? I donât think that Lee remembers any such scandal and I suppose it was probably only significant to readers of the gossip paper.
Apparently Detective Misty Fying has fulfilled her plot purpose and been pink-slipped. She was last seen drowning her sorrows at Jeers, âwhere nobody knows your nameââŚ.
Will the publisher of this Enquirer clone help to bury unfavorable stories about certain political candidates, like the actual Enquirerâs publisher did. (Fact. Proven at trial.)
ââOhhh, look. A fold out of Bess Truman in a modestly reveling cutaway dress made of pastrami. Liz, get Tracy and Personnel in here. They really should know about Samâs latest little fantasy."
Something I find interesting about cartoon work is that the artist isnât constrained by the same rules as camera angles. Gould would change angles, but not as frequently, often drawing a sequence from the same angle. I like that we often have enhanced visual interest in a strip like today where Charles has switched from one side of the conversation to the other at different elevations without confusing the readers. Weâre able to follow drawn stills from one panel to another much easier than we are motion shots that might use the same angles. Itâs a tool in the artistâs belt that can be leveraged to add interest to a story and Carlos Magnifico does this well.
Charles Ettinger, I just realized why I like your rendition of LizzâŚ.she very much reminds me of my ultimate favorite AvengerâŚJANET VAN DYNE, THE WASP!!
I get this big gray box at the top of the page and rebooting did not fix it. The viewing area is smaller. Last night I could toggle the page up and down and the gray would go up and out of sight. Now it stays. ? ? ?
OT concern: Has anyone heard from or âseenâ joshhere? I havenât seen him here in a bit. Have I overlooked him or is he missing from our funny farm?

âOh, I remember that scandal. They claimed Martians were paying off parking bureau officials so they could illegally park their space vehicles.â

Whoâs looking up from the floor at our favorite detectives?
Eventually theyâll catch on that this thing is a newspaper like a woodpecker is a carpenter

Iâll leave the writing alone for a day.

Worst artist ever. I had to study, with great effort, P1âŚ..to determine if that was Tracy or Sam.
