Probably a metric/Imperial conversion error.

These are not the tires the droid is looking for.

I guess that’s one way to get pumped up.

It is making for a softer ride.

Should have bought Goodyear All-Terrain tires.

At least the Bot’s balance should be improved.

I’m guessing there was botox in that pump.

It should be a much smoother ride.

I haven’t seen a Sunoco station since the early 70s. The gas pumps were unique in that they had a handle which you turned to get the exact octane you wanted. Do they still have that feature?

He’s been listening to Arnold Schwarzenegger too much.

Blew out a bicycle tire at one of them years ago. Have my own compressor now for the car.

Free air? Don’t see that around much anymore.

Did EB time travel back to 1960 to find one of those free air pumps with the dial adjustment? And yes, they were abysmally inaccurate. You had to use a separate gauge to make sure you were getting the right pressure in the tire.

In 8th grade I blew a bike tire with one of those. Middleweight bike. The tear in the tire was around about 30* of arc and the noise was horrendous. Had to carry the bike home.

The good news is, now you can go beachcombing down on the mud flats.

For free, I accept responsibility. If I am paying for air, the gauge should be accurate. I always carry two pressure gauges of my own.

Carry your own tire gauge, along with tire patching tools.

Car guys pay big bucks for those old air pumps for their garages. I can’t believe the money that stuff like that brings in.

The settings on those gas station air pumps are always off a bit. Some of them want to stay set on a “safe” 32 psi setting, which is way too low for some vehicles, and particularly many bicycle tires. I always set the pump to 40-45 psi and then bleed the tires down to the 34 -36 psi I want for highway trips, using my digital pressure gauge.
