I had to look: there is a cello player named, Yo-Yo- Ma.

My first read of this was, “Who’s yo mama?” I’m still waking up.

I thought Yo-Yo Ma is how Sylvester Stallone greets his mother on the telephone.

I’ve long wondered how he got named Yo-Yo. I believe he’s Chinese and grew up in Paris. I think his dad was a composer. He has said that his sister and he had to get up around 4 am and do their music exercises before they went to school.

If he was on the Tonight Show, it would have been to play the cello.

I had to look him up just to be certain that he was still alive. He’ll be 70 next year.

I bought Yo-Yo Ma’s complete Beethoven cello sonatas 2 CD set. Other than #3, 2nd movement, the rest are a real yawn, no matter how many times I’ve tried to give them a chance. Just my opinion that no one asked for, sorry.

At least he doesn’t have a curtain growing out of his head. :)
