When I used to work the window at the post office one had to produce a driver’s license to cash a check, I always wondered why so many of the licenses were from Hawaii.

Not sure what a DL means, a tax! Yes…almost like mandatory annual vehicle inspections.

Is the car shrinking or are they growing?

I sort of wonder about the car following behind them…

I only use mine to buy booze. Three out of the total of five times that I was behind the wheel resulted in some memorable minor events!

Is it coincidence that both Sam[antha] and Alex[andra] have gender neutral nicknames? Seems unlikely.

Must be an older car (pre-1969) since it does not have head restraints (pre-1969).

I’ve been watching car accidents online and it is amazing how many people have no licenses, registrations or insurance.

Get a fake Hawaiian driver’s license. Few seem to recognize the real thing so they will not recognize a fake either.

Till you get pulled over, when it becomes a “misdemeanor”.

Now they take it an copy the stripe on the back, so it’s impossible to use a fake one

Zonker has obviously never been stopped and had his license checked by cops.

The fake one won’t impress the Highway Patrol when the troopers run his license number.

Right up till the moment you are stopped.

In California, even displaying a false driver’s license for identification can mean a year in jail and a $1000 fine. Driving without a license has the same penalty.

Most commenters seem to miss Sam’s “You can use them for driving, too?”

Isn’t she a little young to buy booze?

In the 40’s my grandma took my dad to the drug store and the druggist took a card out and typed dad’s name on it and registered it in his book. Back in the mid 90’s, someone was advertising blank driver’s licenses for all 50 states on the Internoodles. I sent a copy of the ad to the state’s attorney general and told him I was glad to see the state allowing private competition. Several months later several states made them whipping boys. The states have been making more complex laser holograms and bar codes for security. Someone broke into the county office and stole a printer and blank cards. They bought more complex image and hologram printers and only print them in their state capital office.
