Back in March, there was a story arc leading up to Saint Patrick’s Day in which Wallace and Spud were searching for a leprechaun for its pot of gold. I commented that I have a rainbow calendar and the motto for March was “Don’t forget to enjoy the rainbow while searching for the gold.”
The motto for this new month is “The gold at the end of the rainbow is the Earth.”
The house I grew up in was built before electricity and the person who later installed it was paid $50 and a case of beer (supposedly), as such, if you ran the microwave, sump pump, washing machine, or pool filter at the same time, the power went out. The breaker was in an unfinished basement, often flooded, and only accessible through an exterior entrance
Very lively, Spud. Does it go from duple to triple meter at the refrain? Or is it “dance like a fish [clap]” each time? Either way is catchy and dancy.

Must’ve. But, a true professional knows how to power through these minor set-backs. Rock on!

The fuses must be really well marked for dad to know which one to flip.

Just to your bedroom, Wallace, but the rest of the house will conveniently loose power too if you try and move anywhere else.

Something similar happened to me when I was a teen and was working on some guitar riffs.

Today’s strip reminded me of the theme song to the 1970s UK drama When The Boat Comes In-
“Dance with your Daddy,
My little laddie,
You will have a fishy,
In your little dishy,
When the boat comes come in!"

If the “Beast” (Sterling) was covering his ears, then the “power outage” was needed.
