Easy to tell Leon is the master of the insidious put-down. Hope he is about to get put down himself and put out of her life.

On a side note, in the last panel he is making a copy? In the previous panel, it looks like Joan gave him some of her work to look at. So, not quite sure what is going on.

Why is she letting him near her work space! Why is he even in the house! She really needs help and never ever be alone, anywhere, with him near.

Classic controlling jerk behavior – belittling her ability in an attempt to lower her self-esteem. I hope she kicks his sorry butt out soon so we can be done with this story arc.

What is Leon doing in the last panel? It looks like he’s checking out the contents of her “in” box, but my first impression was he was making a free photocopy of something.
