It’s hard to find the words to describe how nonsensical this is. They think ADDING heat SUBTRACTS it???

The opposite of last winter when I hung around in the beer cave at Speedway to warm up.

Funny, where I live, we have had a cooler than normal summer. Must be global cooling!

Maybe where they live. Here, it has been warmer than the last 10 years or so, which were unusually cold, but still not back up to a “normal” heat. Kids just don’t have the lifetime of experience to grant perspective.

You wait until the coal turn white)(no flame) before you put the meat on the grill. Only one small burger for Peter? Why an ovenmitt to put cold burgers on grill?

So many climate change deniers commenting how cool it’s been near them lately. And yet none of them tell us where they live so we can look for ourselves to see if they’re telling the truth.

“It’s been the hottest summer on record to date for around 100 US cities from Maine to California. Heat is suspected in the deaths of least 37 people in the US in July, a number that is likely underestimated given the amount of time it takes to attribute a death to nature’s most prolific weather killer.

Many of the deaths have been in the West, where cities have shattered all-time record high temperatures during an unprecedented and long heat wave."

It’s so hot, Roger can leave those burgers on the plate and they’ll cook all by themselves

I’m sure Jason would know that doing that makes no sense in the light of thermodynamics. What happened to Peter?

I believe climate change is natural, not man made. I think having all the volcanic activity plays a role in our climate, same with our sun. To think that man can affect climate is silly, like believing ants can change the world. We can make the earth greener by planting more trees, we can keep our pollution to a mininum, we can recycle all we want, but it’s not going to make a dent in our climate. God is the only one who can change things to that degree.

After looking over Robert4170’s profile I see that he is just a grenade thrower with no real stand except to stir things up. In other words, he’s a troll. We should all just stop responding to him. Click on his name to see his profile and you will all see what I mean.

Couldn’t prove it by me Our summer temps have been in the upper 60’s and low 70’s We’ve had maybe 5 days not consecutive in the upper 70’s. I don’t live on the ocean 10 miles inland.

I remember a time when this would have simply been a funny slice of life; a comic to enjoy over morning coffee before moving on to a beautiful summer Sunday. Now it appears to be a trigger for exposing the worst of us.

This reminds me of a running joke I had, when I worked at a lumber yard, that was right down on our waterfront. In Winter, the outside air could be -20, with the wind. Sometimes, I’d have to work in the warehouse, which was unheated, and like being in a freezer. I used to say that I had to go outside, to warm up.

Yes, it’s been hot as usual, but it’s the humidity that’s been a killer for most that are not used to it. To me, a drier heat is doable much more than a high humidity heat. Been sweating like never before, and then factor in no wind???
