Makes me think of the old Midas Muffler commercial where when asked why the rich guy shops there and the old man says, “How do you think I got to be rich?”. The wealthy typically buy quality that will last a very long time and eschew frivolous or unhealthy things like potato chips and Twinkies. The rest tend to fall for fads like fast fashion, get a frappa-whatever at Starbucks every day, and load up on unhealthy carbs. No, I’m not rich by any stretch but I am comfortable in my retirement because my grandpa gave good advice.
Kids who have never been exposed to the reality of ’this is how much money we make and this is what we have to buy, but rather have been insulated from all that, simply have no idea why their parents are too stingy to buy that new PS5 they want…
I mean, they truly don’t understand. Just use your credit card.
Your parents decided to have kids. Without those expenses they would buy cool, expensive stuff, too. And you wouldn’t be there to mess them up. This is what’s called mutual exclusive.
