My philosophy is never date someone who could carry out a threat to tap me with a catheter. But that’s just me.

Most states consider medical professionals who get involved with their patients guilty of unprofessional conduct…

You’ll be sorry, Mark—but at least you can spit on your sperm doner’s open casket.

“That’s the last time I try to date a nurse!” Try using what Donald “TFG” Trump uses, the scent of money. The third Mrs. Donald Trump is young enough to be TFG’s daughter.

Reminds me of Ms. Preen, the nurse in my favorite ’30s play, ’The Man Who Came to Dinner – “If Florence Nightingale had ever nursed you, Mr. Whiteside, she would have married Jack the Ripper instead of founding the Red Cross!”

I once dated a nurse who told me that one of her patients was an elderly gentleman who didn’t have much mobility left in his arms and legs but still had one functional part of his body that he kept begging her to exercise for him. She had to keep reminding him that that wasn’t an appropriate role for a caretaker. Kind of a shame that there wasn’t something that could’ve been done for the guy anyway, since his life was probably pretty much gloomy from dawn to dusk every day.

I understand why there are policies and even laws to regulate dating in the “work environment”. However, where else are you most likely to meet people?

My dad married a nurse. He was in the Army and she was in the Navy when they met so he wasn’t a patient.

My next door neighbor had to have an ambulance called for the third time. I’m thinking he might not be able to live at home any more.

The thing I most remember about Mr. Slackmeyer from past eras is that he is an incredible hypocrite. In one storyline, he delighted in buying up the companies of old business “friends” then acted all betrayed when one of them did the identical thing to him. I mean, seriously, the exact IDENTICAL thing. Just one storyline out of many, but it made an indelible impression on me. I wouldn’t presume to guess why. Maybe I was even more naive then than I am now, hard to credit though that might be.

I don’t think the nurses would call it dating. More like showing why he got divorced three times.

The great entertainer Al Jolson came down with malaria while entertaining WW 2 troops—-and he ended up marrying one of his nurses. His fourth wife—-and it actually worked!!
