Wouldn’t it be normal for powder marks to be on the back of the fingers? The fronts would be kind of hidden due to them holding the gun, and therefore not exposed to the powder?
One set of fingerprints usually means the fingerprints of one individual, not “Exactly one print from each finger on one hand of the person holding the gun.” So this first bit of evidence means nothing unless it was spelled out to us — which it wasn’t.
What do the other two prove / show? If the floor protectors are gone, what made the set of man’s footprints on the newly waxed floor? And I’m still pondering what position the victim’s hands would be in to get powder burns on the back of his fingers and, more importantly, how does any of this nonsense point to her as the killer?
What is the proper name for this “Platform”?- I have been told it is NOT a blog. Any advice/ help, on this matter, greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Lets see… Two clues (one of which we haven’t seen) dependent on the cleaning lady’s testimony, and one that merely says a shot was fired with his hands in a strange position (provided it wasn’t completely faked).
The cleaning lady did it. She is actually Celestine’s mother, and was upset about her daughter being dumped.
TERRIFICALLY TERRIBLE! I thought the “one set of prints” meant ONE PERSON’S prints – NOT “clean” except for 5 distinct individual finger prints because the gun had been wiped before being placed in Milongo’s hand. That should’ve been made clear. AND nowhere was it said that Juana’s foot coverings had gone MISSING! And the drawing of footprints was also misleading because it showed a set going in and a set going out. Was that designed to mislead us into believing a man came in, killed Milongo, and left or was it miscommunicated/misinterpreted drawing instructions?
We armchair detectives never stood a chance of solving this murder. “Suicide” would’ve been a better ending.
1- DT: I alone surmised that Deputy Sam Fife’s statement regarding “only one set of prints” meant that the gun had been wiped clean before only 5 individual prints were placed on it!
2: …AND I ALONE surmised that Mary Juana frugally reuses her disposable shoe covers and that they were suspiciously missing!
3: …AND I ALONE surmised that the powder on the back of Milongo’s fingers was NOT gun powder BUT YOUR FACEPOWDER FROM WHERE HE HAD PUNCHED YOU thereby explaining the black eyes you had but have now cleared up somehow. Just try to talk your way out of that, missy!
CELESTINE: 1- Sam obviously meant that one PERSON’S prints were on the gun – NOT just 5 individual prints. Only an idiot would’ve thought that – right Sam? SAM: Si.
CELESTINE: 2- Did you look in the trash for the shoe covers? DT: Ummm…no.
CELESTINE: AND 3 – It WAS gunpowder, not face powder and OF COURSE it would be on the back of the fingers! DT: Uhhhh, And that’s why I ALONE surmise that this is an obvious suicide! TRACY FOR THE WIN! JUANA, SAM, INSPECTOR, CELESTINE: Idiota! Stupido! Imbecil! El Tonto!
Actually, I’m gonna give Eric credit for at least trying to give us the three clues in the earlier strips before revealing them today. The thing about the disposable booties might have been a lot clearer if P2 on August 19 had been rendered from the same overhead view that we have in P2 today,, so we could have seen the outlines of where the booties had been as clearly as we see them in today’s P2.

Even if all of what Tracy says is true, where’s any physical evidence directly tying Celestine to the crime?

I’m back. Thanks for my cuz covering for me.
I honestly think that “The Adventures of Chick Tracy” would be more entertaining than this story.
I really can’t think of a single thing done well with it.

Good morning™, all!
So, Tracy has found three discrepancies, but we are still waiting for his conclusion on that.
The vase in panel 2 looks like it should belong to Charlie Brown.

Celistine’s shiny, pompadoured hair continues to be the best drawn part of this Minit Mystery.

Despite what some say about Tracy the P.2., looking down view, is pretty sharp.
