The name “fast food” is very misleading at times.

Must be rush hour.

Sometimes I get faster service at a sit diner.

I got burned today, I got my bill from Sams Club…over $4000…I haven’t been there maybe twice. I have NEVER used the CC, always the phone (that is where the coupons are) and the checkout reads my phone for discounts and paying. All the charges were card charges. Within minutes they reversed the charges. And there are more as I dig into it. At least another month. I’ll be calling them tomorrow again. Sams Club is going to take a loss from a lot of people

Just wait until only half of the order is ready and you have to wait in the spot for them to bring it out to you.

I don’t mind the waiting to order part. It’s the pull to the side while we wait for your fries to get cold, part that’s aggravating.

I’ve heard that the French eat snails………because they don’t like fast food

Fast food in the slow lane.

I see the local grocery carries a “ready to drink” “meal” that is called……. Soylent. I don’t know that they have it in green.

Sometimes slow, but more and more expensive.

I’ve noticed significantly shorter lines at MCD lately. Gee, wonder why?

Good point Gladys, I suppose Wilberforce is accustomed to instant gratification, or he’s just really hungry.

Timing is everything! And don’t gulp down your burger! ☺️

Must be either Chik-fil-a or burger King, the slowest drive thrus in town, ANY town.

It’s called “Fast Food” ’cause it goes through you fast… ☺

Fast food used to be fast (at least much faster) and not nearly so expensive. It also used to be more easy to see, find, and order individual items off the posted menus.

Patience, young padawan. Food will happen.

Wilberforce and the rest of the family don’t look like they have missed too many meals.

Folks food at home is way better than garbage served at fast food joints. And you don’t know who or what “extra” is really on that burger.

Slow food these days.

Think of it the way Wilburforce, you could be eating your Mom’s food.

I miss the days of fresh lettuce, tomato and onion on my burger, and a bun that doesn’t look like it’s been sat on. Burger King used to make a burger like that.

Always seems that way until you take the first bite, then all waiting time is forgotten Much like anything we all wait for in life……

I can’t stand waiting in drive through lanes. It’s always much quicker to just park and go inside to get your order. There is probably more gasoline wasted and more air pollution generated at drive-through windows than any other place in the world.

“Gee whiz”? Is this 1953???

I remember a long time ago when I was very young, my mom and I went to Dairy Queen. They used to give you a ticket with a number on it and would call out your number over a microphone when your order was ready. Anyone, on this one trip to Dairy Queen, they called out Mom’s order number over the microphone before Mom had even gotten back to the car. Literally fast food. And the good part about it was, Dairy Queen got the order right!

Wilberforce is a growing boy. He’s always hungry. Fast food to him has a different meaning.

There are times when I find it quicker to inside and order than to use the drive thru.

went through this after I read this strip. Older gentleman with handicap plate holding up the line. Seemed to be having issues at the order box and pay window but was ok at the pick up window
