Navy chow is pretty good.

In the cartoons of the late Jimmy Hatlo, individuals sometimes had the “urge to kill”. Well, it looks like Mom inherited that “urge”.

Maybe he can get a military haircut before they kick him out.

Well apparently the more powerful the army the worse the food (source: Asterix the Legionary) so Calvin might not be making a good move.

I have never seen Calvin’s mom that mad besides when she told the dad why can’t we have a sweet little girl?

Doesn’t the Navy, like most everyone else, have Calvin on Call Block yet?

The “Blob” is alive and well and sneaked in to Calvin’s house.

Somehow, I don’t think Calvin would do all that well in the navy.

A food fight with himself!

Never ever leave Cal alone with food. He has a whale of an imagination that never lies quietly.

The Navy must have some need for a provocateur to send somewhere to disrupt the social fabric.

OMG when I was a teacher, I copied this comic without the dialog and had my students write the speech bubbles using adjectives and adverbs. So much fun, and expanded their vocabulary!

He should be eating outside, like most messy little boys. Nobody wants to watch Calvin eat.

Yep, this has happened to me several times.

And so near to Christmas, too.

Only in the Comics can Calvin have a food fight with himself… LOL. Where is Hobbes with Mom needs him?

And now the Sunday strips are back in sync again, since we’ve gone back to ones from 1990 as part of the second sabbatical rerun cycle before the new strips began at the start of 1995.

Among his many adventures, this one seems rather benign. Calvin should probably keep the military card in his pocket for something more destructive.

Oh sure, everybody hates the Navy until they need a little help.

Calvin made the right decision if he makes it as a submariner, they have chefs on board US submarines.
