LOL, it’ll be a sad day if a dad can’t fix a drippy faucet or replace a leaking P-trap. Or the mom, or the older teen with mechanical aptitude. I have nothing against calling in a pro when needed, but there should be someone in most houses who can manage a little problem like that.

I see the same thing happened today as last Friday. Very few comments made minutes ago mean the strips were late again. Wonder what is going on.

Well Darryl, I’d fix the little drip by sending her to her room for an hour or so.

If Daryl’s doing under sink repair it’s relatively simple. Installing a water heater is more complicated, but not really difficult.

LOL, got to love how well some spouses know each other.

Maybe they’re just late

These days, with my limited mobility, getting into a cabinet under the sink to fix a leak or other issue takes some prior planning.

This got me thinking. I cannot remember a repairman ever coming into our home when I was a child. If Mom didn’t fix it, Dad did. Plumbing, TV, you name it.

Yeah, hiring a qualified professional who will charge a minimum of one hundred dollars just to show up and charge four hundred dollars for a thirty-five-dollar part because they have them “special made to ensure quality” Total BS. Fix it yourself, weenie!

Either tell her to mind her own business or try fixing it herself.

Hire professionals and pay them for what they know—and for what they keep you from goofing up.

Having a professional to eliminate the drip could be rather costly.

My father was a professional electrician and, in general, was great about taking care of home repairs on his own. He was also smart enough to know when it was time to call in a professional.
