Today’s strip reminds me of a drag double act called Hinge and Brackett which appeared on TV here in the UK in the 1970s and ’80s. The characters full names were Dame Evadne Hinge and Dame Hilda Brackett.

I’ve only ever been in one tax bracket at a time.

A right bracket by itself may be an Apple II command prompt.

A mismatched bracket (or parentheses) can bring a program interpreter or compiler stopping in its tracks. At least, that’s what will happen with the programming languages PHP and Lisp.

Just ask a programmer…

Of course brackets are plural.

If you are in a single bracket, most people wish that they are in a “high income” bracket.

I see two pairs of brackets followed by a single bracket.

Reminds me of what Pablo Picasso said: “Art is a lie that helps us see the truth.” Sally is not nearly as illogical as any number of talking heads we see on local and network news.

I prefer using the brackets over parentheses because then the shift key is not needed and I may continue typing [hunt & peck] with my single hand.
