From gum chewer to getting chewed.
Hobbes just wants some bubblegum!
I’m surprised that they didn’t get into a tussle and get all wrapped up in bubblegum.
If tigers’ reflexes are so sharp, why are they an endangered species??
Survival requires those reflexes.
Hobbes chewed him out
what part of “let sleeping tigers lie” does Calvin not understand
I don’t see any lightning, people
This is why you gotta get a pet cat and training with him before you get a tiger kid.
Seems as if Hobbes has a little case of PTSD…..
You never noticed this before?
Was that Double Bubble or Bazooka??
Very funny today. : )
That popping sound may be being made by Hobbes’ next meal.
There’s bursting a bubble, and then there’s bursting the bubble blower!
I’ve read that intelligence and fast reflex times are correlated. Perhaps that is why US voters are so slow?
Definitely high-strung.
It’s funny that he should know that… as Hobbs had spent so much time with other tigers.
“And so I fired two warning shots. INTO HIS HEAD. He had it coming!”
House cats have quicker reflexes than snakes.
When I say I have catlike reflexes, I mean that I’m good at heading toward the nearest food.
reminds me of something…………OH! the scene in Ice Station Zebra where the sailor awakes “Mr. Jones” who jumps up waving a gun because Jones is just an alias with bad connotations. (and people think my memory is going, hah!)
That cat was fast as lightning. In fact, it was a little bit frightening.
After what Hobbes said in the last strip, you think Calvin would be more careful around him.
I have a similar exaggerated startle reflex from the Army and Police work
I love the way Watterson drew people (or tigers!) when they get startled!
