We have Amazon Prime. My wife went to order our little girl a costume. They have it, but because it isn’t over a certain amount, she had to pay shipping. Since when do you pay shipping, when a Prime customer? Then I found out that a favorite series, on Acorn, has new episodes and we wanted to watch it. Amazon stuck in ad, even though we pay extra for Acorn and Britbox. Today we end our association with Amazon. Their sponsored businesses are too high, you buy it cheaper, locally, and now they take too long.
I’m old enough to be Wanda’s father and I don’t ever remember Buying a Halloween costume! Not for me, my sister or brother, or my two sons. Never. We made them. Some were simple, some not so simple, and for some years the biggest pleasure was making something interesting and having it appreciated by people whose houses we visited! One reason I’ve always been sure to express admiration for good homemade costumes that come to my door!
Thrift shops have huge aisles dedicated to Halloween costumes also props, giftware and anything else needed or wanted. And anything plenty you don’t need. There’s bound to be something even a picky kid will fall in love with.

It doesn’t? Then who’s going to pay for all those things I had to them deliver to me?

You’re a tattle tale and a bully. Perfect for Halloween. Not so much for Christmas.

Not looking forward to Zoe’s reaction when that’s not the case.

When I was a kid back in the ’50’s, in a small town, most kids and parents came up with their own costumes. Many were very creative.

She’ll eventually get the costume. After a little screaming, crying, etc.
