My Brother in law (a lawyer for a large real estate firm) was having a zoo meeting during COVID when he noticed that his boss wasn’t moving from his chair. He asked me “Are you wearing pants?”

“Of course I am!” came the reply.

My Brother in law replied “I’ll give you $100 if you stand up”"

His boss remained seated

This is what happens if you wear white after labor day.

You faded into the background

This is what you get when you can’t pay the painter 1/2 way thru your portrait.

It’s simple to blur your background for a Zoom meeting, but it’s darn near impossible to do when you’re all in the same room.

Story told by a local radio talk show host: he was on a zoom meeting with a number of people and his belly started rumbling. He muted his mic and let a huge amount of gas rip. He said that he saw eyebrows immediately pop up and realized that he had not, in fact, muted his mic.As he told this story, I was driving and almost had to pull over because I was laughing so hard.

Ethyl still couldn’t figure out why all the men thought she was so bland.

Today, she just didn’t seem altogether here.

“Oh, by the way, I thought over your request for the next painting; I won’t be posing nude.”

“OK, Get out! We’re done here!

Camille-Félix chose his vocation/

With inadequate consideration./

He corrected his blunder/

But he leaves us to wonder/

Why he didn’t complete this creation..

The artist liked to paint while listening to Schubert’s 10th symphony.

He had hoped she was wearing a mask/

But he hadn’t the courage to ask/

He strove to portray her/

And not to dismay her/

But he just wasn’t up to the task.///

He was forced to abandon his quest/

And to leave the poor woman half dressed../

She inclined to agree/

Since he lowered his fee/

So it’s probably all for the best.

Florence was feeling a little washed out today.

“You’d have ‘grumpy face’, too, if you had to sit like this for hours.”

I bet she never finished the book on her lap either.

Unknown (made up) fact that the painting was started during a seasonally warm October and finished quickly due to the sudden snow storm. (Darn upper Midwest weather.)

She’d been told she would pose in the nude/

(An enjoyable Interlude)/

That would madden her dad/

In a down at the mouth attitude..///

He’s neglected her bottom half/

Which some would consider a gaffe/

But am I distressed/

that she isn’t undressed ?/

To be honest – please – Don’t make me laugh.
