I would think a scathing review by his sister is just what Hammie would want. Zoe would probably say it doesn’t have enough unicorns and princesses.

Can’t believe that Hammie would seek an opinion from Zoe, knowing it sets the stage for exactly THIS kind of disparagement. Which isn’t to say that what Hammie wrote wasn’t terribly stupid…

Now why would you ask her anything. Ask dad, he’ll either lie or make a joke about it.

It would be a picture book if Hammie could draw Doug.

Zoe can’t even be honest with herself, let alone evaluating something from others, especially Hammie.

What was he expecting?

You asked for honesty, what you want is specific constructive criticism. Or maybe you were going for artificial fawning praise.
