That armor is for dragonback jousting, not horseback jousting.

There were bred specifically for size and strength that was necessary for carrying a heavily armored person in ancient and medieval times.

Time to make some alterations to his horse.

Actually, I would consider the armor “improvement” a significant upgrade. Who would want to fight someone that you believed actually filled that armor?

We’re going to need a bigger….. horse.

But a purely defensive posture will still lead you to lose!

It would have been better to turn the other guys joust pole into rubber.

Just a guess… lighter armor would be better for jousting. The point of jousting is to remain on the horse, methinks.

A Draft horse is what he needs, they don’t come much bigger. Armor is heavy that’s why chain mail came along but it was the Huns who were smart, multiple layers of leather and silk underneath – it stops arrows from doing more damage. The Samurai too and I think they had armor over vital parts only.

Hmm did wiz speak with a certain billionaire industrialist with a knack for creating armor like this? ;)
