Oh… I thought yesterday’s panel was attempting to show nervous or apprehensive rather than blasé. But it is difficult to draw blasé when comic art doesn’t seem to iconography for it (x on the eyes to show dead, circles around the head to show drunk, BAM to show a solid hit, etc.) And I’ve been saying for days a real exec should be concerned. OTOH, a detail oriented individual might be focused on his / her own job description, and since this is now on the MCU’s to-do list it might be their job.
BOLO is used frequently in the TV series NCIS (naval criminal investigative services) but in regards to this story, NCIS would mean N o C criminals I n S ight
2- DT: Depends on how you mean that. Like – are you asking if I’m too warm or is it more of a statement like “Aren’t you just the hottest looking thing to ever wear a trench coat?” Anyway, regardless – the answer is YES.
3- SAM:MEANWHILE Slow down! OK – so that’s 3 Pizza Supremes and 2 liters of Coke and… lemme stop you there. This isn’t Pete’s Pizza Emporium. I’m guessing you misdialed… What? Because I thought you were providing me with a tip about the murder I’m investigating…Well! You can just go “GFY” too!
It seems like Tracy and MCU operate on the level of consultants. Their expertise is sought from divisions such as homicide. Is this the future for the strip? Any action which takes place gets left to the reader’s imagination.

Good morning™, everyone!
Bolo? That’s a kind of necktie, isn’t it? You learn something new every day.
The son doesn’t care. He knows something he’s not telling us or the police. I’m sure his dad knows, too.

Good morning™, Ongoing Investigators !
Dick and Lee study one angle while Sam explores another. I predict a lengthy timeline to the resolution of this one.
