Calvin and Hobbes are perfect!

Calvin predicted the movie “Limitless”.

I think, there for I deserve.

You DON’T deserve it, Calvin! And only jerks think that way—like most of the billionaires now ruining, er, running this country!

At least Calvin is sort of trying.

Unfortunately, that attitude of privilege has taken over the country since this comic appeared.

It’s like the twilight zone where the guy dies and gets everything he wants. Then it gets so old and frustrating, he says, " I don’t wanna be in heaven no more. I wanna be in that OTHER place." And his supposed “guardian angel” says,, "You ARE in that “other” place."

I wish that I could push a button and talk in the past, and not the present tense….

Sounds like a younger version of a certain person ! ! !

Calvin sounds like a socialist.

Goes to show that there has always been those who feel entitled.

Lazy kid gonna find it hard growing up and harder after he growing up.

I have no words for this.

Why work for anything when everything is for sale.

No wonder why US is so far from Denmark.

I had a sister just like that…and she just couldn’t understand why everyone else didn’t see it her way.

The American Dream is supposed to be that you have the opportunity to work hard and be successful. No guarantees, but just the chance is better than you get in a lot of places.

Cal, you nailed it. You don’t work, you don’t deserve whatever ‘it’ represents. You just don’t see it yet.

While I’m certainly not going to deny that the button is a tempting thought, I think it has such obvious downsides that I for one wouldn’t want it. The pill, now, that I really do like.

Back before we had Ozempic and Amazon.

I recall reading a while back a man suggesting that all the pensions, discounts, etc, that are given to seniors should be given to young people just starting out, because old people are used to working. (Didn’t mention at what age said pensions would be withdrawn.)

He wants to be able to issue Executive Orders by the boxcar-load to change the world to his liking.

The commercials have been telling him he’s special and deserves more, so it must be true.

I’d be happy if there were just pills I could take (either all or any one or combination of the following): 1) that would permanently eliminate the need to sleep; 2) that would permanently eliminate the need to eat and/or 3) that would permanently eliminate the need to ever use sunscreen.

For quite a long time, there was a general agreement to keep politics out of the comments for this strip. When someone strayed, regulars would ask them not to do that, rather than engage them in debate. It really would be great if we could get back to that.
