Too cold for ice cream? Only if you’re eating it outside in the snow. It’s cozy and warm inside.

When I lived in a cold state, I’d have ice cream in the middle of winter whenever I wanted, without hot fudge. I don’t need these silly rules.

Sorry, Jon, you’re wrong. It’s always a comfortable temperature indoors, hence always good for ice cream.

But even outdoor ice cream is fine in the winter in many parts of the country. I’ve friends from Massachusetts who routinely buy and eat ice cream while walking around outdoor in the winter. And when the temperature is below freezing, it has the added advantage of not melting before you finish eating it. I assume people living in northern town everywhere else do the same thing.

We got some hockey tickets from a neighbor who couldn’t make the game. That night it was in the single digits with sub-zero wind-chill, we waited in line outside to get into the arena, & inside it was cold because of the ice.

On the way home from the game Gina asked if we could stop at a Culvers, as she wanted a frozen custard.
