Kind of a more old fashioned thing where people would cover up their pajamas, outside the bedroom.

What’s supposed to be funny is that no one saw anything wrong with walking in on Elly when she was nude in the bath, but Elizabeth is worried about her nightgown. Not funny, just dumb…

Double faucet in the bath tub? how uncomfortable

From Lynn’s Comments: I once went with a friend to visit Harry Morgan and his wife. Harry played the part of the Colonel on “M.A.S.H.” On a tour of their house, Harry’s wife showed me the secret to their long and happy marriage: they had separate bathrooms. At the time, I thought it was a bit excessive to have two bathrooms…but now that I live in a home with two upstairs conveniences, I can safely say that this is one of the reasons my partner and I get along so well—binary biffs.

They don’t have a lock on the bathroom door???

In 2025 we wear yoga pants and tees lol

Personally, I thought she looked better in the tub than in the nightgown but then again, I’m just a man and don’t know no better ! ! ! !

Ah children!

Yes that pet peeve is what I really hate. Whenever I wanna use the nail scissors to clip my fingernails, there is ALWAYS somebody else in the bathtub! Can’t get any alone time in the bathroom to do my nails! Even brushing my teeth, somebody is always using the tub!

Has anyone ever heard of knocking?!

When my boys were very young they used to be able to unlock the bathroom door. When I needed some alone time I dragged a kitchen chair into the bathroom and put it under the doorknob. I could still hear them but could enjoy the bath.

I would wear a robe over the nightgown. I live alone, but a nightgown is just not warm enough to wear by itself in the winter.

Just a couple of thoughts here:

John’s a dentist, right? And with 3 kids, you’re telling me he had a house with just one bathroom?? Even an extra half bath would helped a ton…I can’t imagine John not being able to afford to install one.

And secondly, after looking at panels 3 & 5, that bathtub sure seems huge!

Man, at first I read April’s panel with an extra ‘o’. Totally changed the vibe.

Elizabeth, the fashion critic now. Elizabeth after some of the outfits you have worn, you are not one to give fashion advice.

“Well, fine! I’ll just take it off! Happy now?”

Why not? She’s clean, happy and comfortable!

Elizabeth must be hiding under a rock. Young girls, young ladies, and some women dress like a bunch of streetwalkers with price tags around their necks, with no dignity or shame whatsoever. Modesty has gone out the window and females wonder why they are disrespected. They have no self-respect so why should anyone respect them.

Haha… Especially in THAT nightgown…

I can remember when I was very young, maybe 6 yrs. old, walking with my mom to the store. She wanted to hold my hand, but I did what Elizabeth did ,resisting her, not wanting her to embarrass me. Kids get embarrassed by their parents at any age.

I guess bathroom doors in Canada don’t have locks on them? And I don’t mind my spouse coming into the bathroom when I’m in there naked like that, but NOT my friggin’ KIDS…
