This is what I was suggesting a few days ago about PTSD. At least, it’s close to that with the stress and becoming a loner and researching disturbing things.
Back on Oct 27, the start of the story, we saw a figure that was presumably Junior, in the tower. He was saying, “Soon I shall bring you to life.” I thought he was referring to the clock. Looking back, he is closing the case of an oblong object with what looks to be a lightning bolt painted on.
So I’m assuming he crafted a bomb in memory of Grandpa, with the help of the dead guy. That would give motive for the killing. Or he found one that Grandpa planted but couldn’t set off, although it would be odd that no one noticed it before.
This is the brooding they do before driving large vehicles into crowds or go on shooting sprees. How’s that for “Serious Contemporary Social Issue territory” ? :-( Nice office phone, Carlos.
I wonder if this story goes along it’s natural path which will give it a darker tone not seen on DT, or at least for a while? Or as many here have surmised that TCA caused a pause, by interjecting a MM, to make editorial changes to give it a lighter tone via a new direction of the story. I don’t believe they will “sweatbox” it especially after recent events in the U.S., I’d believe if they were concerned with the storyline and real world events they would’ve stopped the story. Maybe to never be republished or to continue on.
Took me a moment to realize CO meant C.O. (Commanding Officer) and not Co. (Company)…Would it kill ’em to add the period and make the abbreviation more clear?
This guy would have been been evaluated by a 68X behavioral health specialist, sent for psychological counseling and been given a medical discharge rather than being allowed unlimited access to unlimited disturbing computer viewer. (I’ve previously noted the problems with gramps being allowed in the country.) But as long as nothing in the story has made sense until now, why start this late?
Theres too little information being given in too few panels…add in the jumping back and forth between “teams” and the nonsensical waste of what…four days? a week? at the beginning of the story…and this one has unsurprisingly gone off the rails almost at the exact moment of the first image on the first day
You know, I have a couple unsavory ancestors I know of (and Lord knows how many I don’t know about). One was in the Klan. And there’s a potential murderer – since there is no record of what happened to his first wife. But those facts have never made me think, “Gee, I wonder if I should join the Klan or murder my wife.”
1- COLONEL CLINC: Next time don’t be so rough, Lizz – I’m so sore! LIZZ: Uhhh…Sam is here too, Colonel. COLONEL: Sorry – I’m not into Devil’s 3-Ways. LIZZ: I MEANT IX-NAY THE EX-SAY TALK. COLONEL: Oh. Anyway…
2- : …after losing many, many battalion boxing matches by knock-outs, Totten devoted all his time to researching his family tree where he learned that…
3- : …his granpa was a successful boxer having defeated German boxing great Max Schmelling. Of course, Max had his hands tied behind his back and was threatened with being sent to a Concentration Camp if he so much as gave Tottentanz a mean look but still, Fred Jr took his own boxing failures hard. Eventually we gave him a pat on the back and a Section 8 and wished him luck. Gotta go now. CLICK

Now that middle panel has me worried. A loner and constantly on his computer might describe me.

Hey,the Tracy strip is FULL of villains who worshipped their dead family members——Dick can’t get away from them!! Why should 2025 be any different?
