I’ve learned one thing about chicken… Don’t keep it in your refrigerator for more than three days . . .I did that once with a whole Costco rotisserie chicken and ended up with a case of food poisoning. . .An awful experience for sure ! Eat what you can while its fresh and throw the rest away.
Earl likes his meat well done. My dad seemed to feel that if beef wasn’t black on the outside, it was undercooked. He even preferred his toast black.
If we take the advice from twilight zone “To Serve Man” then we can cure the poverty level in America and also deal with the illegal Mexicans at the same time.
There are chickens out there with black meat. I think it is the Silkie breed. Never had it myself (they are tiny chickens) but have seen it on cooking shows.
My step grandpa was the same way when it came to chicken. He was so worried about not giving someone food poisoning, that it wasn’t done unless it was burnt. So almost every Sunday, for several years, we would go over to my step grandparents house and eat burnt chicken.

I buy a whole roasted chicken at the grocery store. I eat some, freeze some, and throw the rib cage away because it is too bulky for the freezer.

Just like my mother used to make toast – burnt black, then scrapped to a golden brown!

And to any alien visiting, you are white meat. That’s why were all different colors, so the aliens can pick different flavors for their snack.

Did you grill the chicken? Yes, but he refused to say why he crossed the road.
