Chew up her purse Fred!

Oh yes! The ol’ criticism made to sound like a compliment trick! I’ve known people like that. You just have to know how to play their game. She hasn’t seen this woman in years, and after this visit, I can bet years will go by before she sees her again. No loss.

The back handed complement. And with a friend like that. Who needs enemy’s?

Looks like Mrs Dear’s “friend” has worn out her welcome inside of the first 2 minutes.

due to space limitations, I heard most folks’ houses in GB ( and Europe for that matter) are on the small and compact side

As one gets older a smaller home is way easier to take care of than a large one . My vote is for the smaller home ;-)

When I was about 19, I visited my sister’s first home and commented on what a wonderful, pretty, little house it was. My dad was there and explained why my sister was so miffed. Bad lesson learned early and I never made that particular mistake again.

Mrs. Dear will try to squeeze her in.

We have a nice compact house…plus the second floor and the bridge to the Great Room. Everything we need is on the first floor, except the laundry. That’s in the bridge. Too much house, but the location is good and there’s room for a modest orchard…which needs pruning every winter.

Mrs Dear can take comfort in knowing she looks younger than her school friend

A few years ago I reconnected with a friend from 1st grade. It was 50 years – almost to the day – since I had last seen her. We talked for hours & are still talking every chance we get.

THIS is why any evening by the fire, with a good book, and just Fred as company, is always a good option.

I’m sensing that she lost touch with that particular “old friend” for a reason….

Mrs. Dear should ask how much said ‘dear friend’ pays in property taxes for her large spacious home. One can safely bet the larger home comes with some hefty taxes, alongside with the added expense of upkeep.

How long before she asks where the powder room is?

Come on, Fred! Fart for the guest! Do your part to get her out of there.

I have a compact home, and it came with a garage. I like small, less to clean.

I’d mention that it’s hard to be believe we were in school together. You look so much older. ☺️

We all had a “friend” like that back in school. Passive-aggressive-competitive with a side of teary-eyed victimhood. YECH!

Well, maybe it is small and compact. I’ve never actually seen all of it. Besides, homes are always smaller in Cartoon Land.

Fred just stay like your wonderful self

I mean it’s 2 adults and a dog. Just how many rooms do you need? That’s rooms you have to dust frequently for no good reason.

That when …….. she should have answered ………. YES, it is nice and cozy and just right …… :)
