I’m just making a community note here that we are governed by an oligarchical plutocracy that suppresses the truth in order to place profit over social progress.

Mainstream media, in all its forms, will continue to bend the knee to president moron. But then again, they did that for genocide joe too, at least in regard to one particular issue.

Gee, it’s almost like… capitalism sucks, or something.

Beware the sleight of hand, all. Trump keeps tossing outlandish ideas out there (we will annex Greenland/Canada/the Panama Canal and rename the Gulf of Mexico) as shiny objects for us, especially the press, to obsess over, to deflect attention from what he is really up to. Look at what he does over what he says. Another four years, if our democracy can bear it, of this banal foolishness and grift.

“On the sixth day of Hate Week, after the processions, the speeches, the shouting, the singing, the banners, the posters, the films, the waxworks, the rolling of drums and squealing of trumpets, the tramp of marching feet, the grinding of the caterpillars of tanks, the roar of massed planes, the booming of guns — after six days of this, when the great 0rgasm was quivering to its climax and the general hatred of Eurasia had boiled up into such delirium that if the crowd could have got their hands on the 2,000 Eurasian war-criminals who were to be publicly hanged on the last day of the proceedings, they would unquestionably have torn them to pieces — at just this moment it had been announced that Oceania was not after all at war with Eurasia. Oceania was at war with Eastasia. Eurasia was an ally.

    PSA —

republicans have had “1984” banned from as many public schools as they could because they don’t want future generations to know how to recognize Orwellian propaganda when they see it!

Take heart. The system isn’t failsafe. The fact that we can still comment here is proof.

BRAVO BOLLING! BRAVO! That said – these times call for more than one effort a week. The new maple leaf on our flag needs to be addressed! The changes to the Star Spangled Banner to include something about The Gulf Of America need a day at least! Come on! We beseech you! Implore even!

I was leery when Bezos took over the WaPo. But he was a good steward, supplying funds and keeping out of the news/editorial biz. Then came the “no endorsements” and then Telnaes…. This is certain to be the start of the end. Bezos is smart enough to know that Blue Origin is not going to get any government contracts under President Mush.

What he has done is, I dropped my Post subscription after almost 40 years. It might be less convenient but I’ll buy products from the manufacturer or other retailers.

Bezos’ products are all going to hell. Amazon prime “next day” service is “coming sometimes, probably not when you’re expecting it”. Prime video is the pay-tv we were warned about, now, improved with ads! Amazon search has turned into sponsored not-even-close products, followed by one or two of what you asked for and ten thousand “sorta” results. Ask for a product by brand and see what you get. Filters are ignored.

I am sad about the coming death of the WaPo. She was a good friend.

Seriously, I am looking forward to Trump’s next term. I’m hoping it’s for 10 to 20 with no parole. And his cellmate is Hannibal Lector.

File this story in the locked filing cabinet in the locked Janitor’s closet under the basement stairs next to the throughway construction’s Earth demolition plans.

I have NO idea why the kleptocrats are so scared of Traitor Trump’s handlers. They could lose 90% of their wealth and have more money than most continents !

MAGA calls it the liberal mainstream media. And while there can be an idealistic truth seeking, ethical group, probably mostly centrist in view like most Americans, it only takes a single right wing editor owner to quash the integrity of the fifth estate.

Maybe the great orange puke wants to make Washington D.C. into the Hong Kong of the West?

Anyone complains about trump? Drag them into the street, beating them all the way to the gulag.

20 January is coming fast….anyone here going to watch the coronation?

If I was Judge Merchan, I would have made the bum appear in my court. Make him wait for 2 or 3 hours before I handed down that wicked slap on the wrist.

“As punishment for 34 felonies, I will now speak to you in a very stern tone.” Wow, that musta stung!

I believe Bezos bought the Washington Post to make sure the truth doesn’t die. Than he decided to kill the truth.
