A bit of a snow job…

and Happy 40th Anniversary, in January 1985 before Super Bowl Sunday, Mayor Griffin advised residents how to deal with an impending snow storm. Television station WKBW developed the ‘Jimmy Griffin Snow Index’ to measure snowfall with cans of beer. A can of beer is roughly 4 inches of expected snowfall, and a 6-pack of Genesee beer would measure 2 feet of snow.
