Cold rain followed by heavy wet snow. Yep, it’s February alright.

In Flagstaff we have hardly had any snow this year. The snow plows were called out a few days ago but there were only a couple of inches.

40 Degrees Fahrenheit yesterday in NW Wisconsin. I think we broke Winter. We’ll see what happens when the Minnesota boys basketball championships start.

Once again I muse…. why do those who complain about the cold not move to warmer climes?

Snow starts tonight, Salem, OR; although they don’t expect it to stick until Monday morning.

I don’t know what February weather will be like. It will be very cold if today is any indication – it’s currently -21C.

Northernmost Maine is having a mild Winter so far. No really big snow storms, but just a constant daily dusting of snow. There have been years when we get major storms week after week after week. When that happens you have to plow your yard so you have a place to put the snow.I do feel sorry for those businesses that rely on snowmobilers to come to ride the trails. That business is really slow this year. We’ll see what February brings. I’ve got plenty of firewood and the tractors got a full tank of diesel.

I live in Colorado Springs and I don’t think there was a day in January that didn’t have snow on the ground.

I swear, I think January had 74 days in it this year. I didn’t think it would EVER end….

We had the best snowstorm this month. The snow was on the ground for nearly 3 weeks and it was beautiful. I wouldn’t mind another before spring gets here.

January —icemaker

February—freezer

March—refrigerator

April—kitchen floor

Yeah, for the last couple of years. It seemed like January and February switched places in Michigan. So, we’ll see if it does the same this year.

It seemed a little more wintery than usual in southern “mid-Michigan” this January.

Is this a political commentary?

We had the mildest January in 10 years. Last year it was a foot of snow, this year just some rain and sporadic at that. Supposed to be 50 on Monday, normal is 32. Were in short weather right now

58 degrees here today. Not complaining !

I had 8" when it snowed last week but my wife says it was only 6"

They will never learn.
