I’ve been in a lot of bathrooms in different homes over the years, and I don’t recall ever seeing one like this. Other than water, the only thing I occasionally put in my bath tub is a folding drying rack for some of the laundry. And after the items are dry, the rack gets folded and stored in a closet.
We have a Jacuzzi tub that is A. huge and B. useless for two. My wife uses it for clothes-worn-once storage, as it takes a long time to get it half full and without a heater, it cools off quickly.
Sure have never seen that. But, my Mother used to store pans in her dishwasher. She always washed dishes, pots and pans by hand – the old fashioned way.
Uh…no, just NO. After a brother-in-law passed, we found his house like this. Bathtub full of junk, stove top also, live squigglies in the toilet, only paths throughout the house in between the junk and papers dating back decades. Next door neighbor bought the house…very cheap…and had it razed. End of story…and may the BIL RIP. He was def a hoarder, but he had a good heart.
We have 2 bathrooms – upstairs is a full bath with shower in tub as mentioned (did not this is an “old thing” – thought it more the idea that it is the only way to have both a shower and a tub in our bathroom. Downstairs is a “half bath” toilet and sink only.
Our upstairs toilet started running on – we tried to fix this – adjust the bulb in the tank which controlled the when the water shuts off from refilling the tank. Did not work – water would stop refilling the tank, but yet water was still running into the toilet bowl. After a month or so I convinced him that whatever it cost it HAD to be fixed. So on a Friday night when it got even worse we started looking for a plumber. Had one decades ago but husband was never happy with him. Called someone who said 24 hours – spoke to his service, but never called back. And after a couple of hours we gave up and ended up calling Roto Rooter – go figure they do regular plumbing also. Gave us an appointment for later that evening – made husband happy. Then called and said would have to come the next day. So good thing have 2 toilets as we schlepped down the stairs during the night to use the other one. (Husband “You turn on the lights and put on your good slippers which stay on your feet before you walk downstairs!”) Cost more than I figured, but a lot less than he figured.

No can do! I’m a plugger because I still use mine. Plus, my house is so old the shower is part of the bathtub.
