She probably feels that she’s giving everything to her children and her work, and poor Joe is left out in the cold. (Yeah, he really looks miserable sitting there, cuddling Tommi.)
We have not been fortunate enough to have children. We have each other and we each serve as the other’s spouse and child, as well as confident and best friend.
Whatever the other wants to do we both do – he wanted to be a reenanctor, so I am one also. When he was burned out at work in his mid 50s I told him to quit his job and I would support us until he felt better and found something else to do, so we both are craftspeople to supplement my (our)income – not good at selling, but really good at making things. He has taught certain types of embroidery which he enjoys doing (and I do other types of same) to my EGA chapter.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who wonders when Marcy actually sleeps

What kind of weird comment is that? Unless you have a horrible husband – and we know Joe isn’t that – motherhood is way harder.

I have to disagree. Motherhood was way harder. Now that the kids are grown and gone, life with the spouse is quite nice.
