Oh! So it seems he’s another nephew. That would explain why he seemed so nervous. He was in on the whole thing, apparently.

With a little rework this guy could resemble the Rabbit character in looks as well as his current temperament. This family gets around. Do they have nepotism via Mayor Headstrong ?

I suspect that there’s going to be more nephews, possibly even nieces to come. So does Auntie have a lot of brothers and sisters? Or Aunt is mum on their relation to her and told them to call her Auntie?

Okay, this does answer one problem with the first strip… Not the only problem, but a big one. I said the big honking strips of tape were the worst possible way to keep a door from locking – too obvious. I said filling in the hole behind the strike plate to keep the latch from engaging was the way it should have been done. And I asked how it was even possible to put the tape on without it being noticed.

Well, the answer to how you manage to do it is have one of your idiot nephews working there who isn’t any brighter than the moron nephews who’ll attempt the body snatch.

Of course we must wonder how far in advance this was planned? You can’t walk in one day, demand a job on the night shift at the morgue, and tape it that night. Obviously this crime has been planned for months if not years if this guy applied for a job in the coroner’s office, got it, went through supervised training, and as soon as he got on unsupervised shifts they could start the plan. What if he hadn’t been hired?

Lee and Liz have now demonstrated that their ESP is as good as Tracy’s. They knew to give him the third degree before even seeing him.

But why, if you have an idiot nephew working there, does he need to put on the clumsy strips of tape (well, in part because he doesn’t know how to block the latch from being engaged) when he could have just gotten a text from his kin, hustled his butt down to the morgue, and opened the door for them without needing to put on the tape which was so obvious even a guard in Tracyville noticed?

Another nephew, eh.
