Cottonmouth from Luke Cage was the last villain I can remember who used knives as his main weapon. Catwoman uses a whip, but she mostly ties people up with it [which is fine for young readers to see]

The Golden Age comic code also made sure the loincloths covered everything and stayed in place no matter how much action the hero was involved in. The same rule applied to whatever skimpy garb the heroine sported.

On the other hand, Mamie Van Doren (or one of her retinue) would sew two strategically located buttons into her blouses, or bodices. And Jane Mansfield, sometimes for public appearances, so weakened the attachment points of the shoulder supports for her gowns that she could cause a … precipitous … strap failure at will. Or at anyone else who might be interested.

Good thing they were all white males…..white out doesn’t come in any other colour.

There was also a lot of dialogue going on in those fights. But at the end the bad guy always ended up confessing and going to jail. Today however, we elect the bad guys as our political leaders, since our jails are full. It’s a lot easier to keep an eye on them, I guess.

Yeah, as a kid I was mesmerized by mens nipples.

When I was in high school they had what they called “lyceum programs”; everybidy got out of class & went to the gym for…….something (a lounge band, a trampoline demonstration, a lecture on gyroscopes, etc.).

For one, we were supposed to see Little Big Man – then someone told the principal it had a sex scene, and he replaced it at the last minute with Dial M For Murder. None of that filthy sex for us, just good, clean, all-American violence – and against women, to boot.

I always wondered, where are their nipples? That’s what drew the attention.
