"To: RatGreatness@gmail.com From: Zeebs4life@gmail.com Re:Funny joke Hey, Rat...Got that joke you forwarded me. LOL." "To: Zeebs4life@gmail.com From: RatGreatness@gmail.com Did you just put that ridiculously overused acronym for "Laughing Out Loud" in an email to me?" "Yeah. Why?" "Ihtoasm tiatcot yhabyw abol" Zebra: Hey, Pig...do you have any idea what that means? Pig: I Hate That Overused Acronym So Much That I'm About To Come Over To Your House And Beat You With A Bat Out Loud. *KATHUNK* Rat: I'd appreciate your not warning them in advance.

The debate turns acronymious. A true ad zebranim attack.
legaleagle48 over 13 years ago
Well, Rat DID say he was going to stop the overuse of that particular acronym, one person at a time. Zebra evidently didn’t get the memo.

LOL.

Thos too shouldn’t have exposed their emails. Now they’ll get a lot of enlargement proposals.

That’s twice in the last few days Rat has baseball-batted one of the PBS good guys (Goat Thursday, Zeeba Neighba a.k.a. Zeebs4life today), and the second day in a row Zebra has been a victim. And Rat may be threatening Pig for tipping offtargets. I think the PBS Good Guys should form ART: The Anti-RaT league! Everyone needs ART!

OK admit it. How many just g-mailed Rat? just me? then I’m not telling what happened. . ..

The advance warning didn’t help.

And I thought ~ I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter ~ was a slippery acronym to manage. ( It always comes out as something like – Ich bin ein butterer ‽) Anyway… I love how Rat’s threat is in keeping with the spirit of things…. Yada Yada Hate…Yada Yada Beat…Yada Yada OUT LOUD. ~ Very Funny!
hariseldon59 over 13 years ago
That’s two strikes for Rat. Now he just needs to get Pig to complete the strikeout.

Why do Goat and Zebra stay friends with Rat?
codedaddy over 13 years ago
How about TRIC! (The Rat Is Coming). I’ve never before been up early enough to comment. Just as well isn’t it?

It’s not the acronyms that bother me, it’s all the stupid recycled “jokes” people like Rat keep sending me.

I sent an email to rat and no wacking yet. Lol

I’m gonna have to put out some rat poison for Rat. Sending out jokes via email is one of those things that really tick me off. I don’t want them, because if they’re actually good, I’ve already seen them enough times to have them memorized, and if they’re bad, then you just sent me bad jokes! It’s a waste of time and space, so I just hit the delete button. THEN I get hate mail from the person that sent it for not saying THANK YOU for having sent garbage!
How about doing a strip addressing the REAL problem Pastis!
pocounohamster over 13 years ago
So funny and so Ratlike…my hamster could not keep her eyes off the strip…guess I will have to frame it for her house.

I remember back when I hated LOL too. But with time I gave up and came to accept it.

alright |ôlˈrīt|variant spelling of all right.usage: The merging of all and right to form the one-word spelling alright is first recorded toward the end of the 19th century (unlike other similar merged spellings such as altogether and already, which date from much earlier). There is no logical reason for insisting that all right be two words when other single-word forms such as altogether have long been accepted. Nevertheless, although found widely, alright remains nonstandard.
Just saying, that guy needs to STFU. Dictionary FTW.

Coincidentally, this ran right around when I was crusading against people inaccurately claiming to be laughing out loud via initialism. But I had never read this particular strip until now, as far as I can remember.
